Enterprise Deployment and License Management Guide
Deployment roadmap from pilot seats to full-scale rollout, license server planning, output directory standards, and operations responsibility allocation.
Recommended three-phase deployment path
- 1Pilot Phase (Weeks 2–4): Select 3–10 seats and 1–2 representative project batches to establish utilization and operational time baselines.
- 2Expansion Phase (1–3 months): Roll out to all drafting seats within the same department. Standardize task templates, output directories, and naming conventions.
- 3Rollout Phase: Cross-department deployment, integration with enterprise plotter queues and license servers, and inclusion in daily operations workflows.
Output Directory and Naming Conventions
Bulk exports generate large volumes of files quickly. If directory structures are inconsistent, archiving and traceability costs may exceed time saved. Organize files using a three-level hierarchy: Project ID / Batch Date / Output Format. Include drawing number, version, and sheet size in filenames.
Naming conventions should be established during the pilot phase and documented in task templates to prevent departments from adopting conflicting standards.
Operations Responsibilities
- CAD Admin: Manages plugin versions, task templates, line width mappings, and font configurations.
- IT Operations: Manage the license server, output directory storage, and plotter queue availability.
- Engineering Department: Responsible for batch content accuracy, pre-check result processing, and output confirmation.
